Caregiver Connection

Consultation:

Personal guidance identifying strategies, options, and resources for the care of your loved one.  Consultations with an Elder Care Counselor take place by phone, e-mail, or in-person.  Receive targeted written information and have follow-up contact with the counselor as needed.

Instead of spending hours piecing together information on the tangled web of services available, let us streamline your search and offer a comprehensive, accurate, and detailed look at all options available.  Information may include housing options, home care, adult day programs, caregiver support services, government programs, etc.

Seminars:

Learn about a variety of aging and eldercare topics by attending informational seminars held throughout the region in community locations and workplaces.  Topics include: “Effective Communication”, “Managing the Stress of Caregiving”, “Elder Care Essentials”.  Contact us for our current schedule or to arrange to host a seminar.

Telephone Seminars:

Learn conveniently from home.  Listen to presentations by local experts on matters of interest to family caregivers, ask questions, and receive written handout materials.  One-hour seminars are held periodically, often in the evening for convenience.

  • Past Telephone Seminars:
  • Legal Tools for Caregivers
  • Bringing Services into the Home
  • Stress Reduction through Relaxation
  • Caring for Our Veterans
  • Validation, Fibbing & Humor: When Loved Ones Have Dementia
  • Medicaid Highlights for Caregivers
