Seeking Volunteers for the “LifePath Friendly Voices Program”

The COVID-19 Pandemic has taken a toll on older adults, many of whom have found themselves home-bound and isolated.  In March 2020, LifePath opened and staffed three Senior Assurance Centers (in the City of Albany, Cohoes, and Watervliet). Staff at these Centers made phone calls to hundreds of seniors to check-in, reassure them that our team was there for them, and determined what assistance they needed.

While our Centers are still not open for in-person activities, our team continues to provide support and services to older adults within Albany County.  LifePath is seeking volunteers who are willing to help us continue these reassurance calls.  The “LifePath Friendly Voices Program” has been established to utilize volunteers to call older adults in our community to provide comfort and support.  If you have a positive attitude and are looking to make a different in the community, this program is for you!

To become a “Friendly Voices” volunteer, please send an email to: info@seniorservicesofalbany.com or contact the LifePath Administrative Office at 518-465-3322.
