Meals on Wheels
Nutritious meals delivered to your door
LifePath’s Meals on Wheels program provides hot, nutritious meals to older adults who are unable to shop or cook for themselves at home. Each meal is prepared fresh daily in our Albany kitchen and delivered Monday through Friday by friendly, caring staff and volunteers.
About the Program
Meals are cooked from scratch and planned by a registered dietitian to ensure they are balanced and nutritious. Menus typically include a protein, vegetable, grain or starch, bread, milk and dessert. In addition to the hot meal delivered each day, cold meals for later and frozen meals for weekends may be available depending on funding.
This service not only supports physical health with balanced nutrition but also offers social connection. A meal delivery can be a welcome visit, reducing isolation and providing peace of mind for family members and caregivers.
Who Is Eligible
Meals on Wheels is designed for older adults who:
Are homebound or unable to safely prepare meals on their own
Lack refrigeration or food storage access
Funding Options
Several options are available to help cover Meals on Wheels:

Why Meals on Wheels Matters
Meals on Wheels plays a vital role in supporting independence, well-being and social connection. For many participants, meal delivery is not just about food — it’s a daily touchpoint, a wellness check, and a reminder that someone cares.
