Where connection, support and well-being come together

LifePath manages three senior centers in Albany County that are open Monday through Friday. The centers provide a safe, welcoming environment where older adults can enjoy nutritious meals, take part in programs and receive support that helps them stay active and independent. Each serves as a hub of community and connection, helping participants build relationships, feel involved and maintain a sense of belonging.

Programs and Activities

Stay active, engaged and connected

LifePath provides programs at the senior centers it manages that promote engagement, peer connection and well-being. Activities vary from:

  • Discussion groups

  • Educational seminars

  • Wellness activities

  • Casual social time, such as shooting pool or crafts

These programs help reduce social isolation and keep older adults connected to their community.

Resource Assistance

Personalized guidance for life transitions

Staff provide one-on-one assistance to help older adults navigate the aging services maze. Support includes help with appointments, forms and accessing medical, housing and community resources. The goal is to make it easier for participants to remain independent and engaged.

Community Dining

Nutritious lunch shared with friends

LifePath provides hot, nutritious lunches at the senior centers it manages. Meals are prepared by trained kitchen staff, with menus approved by a registered dietitian. Lunchtime offers older adults a chance to enjoy healthy food, connect with peers and feel part of the community.

Volunteers help keep the senior centers welcoming and vibrant. They support programs, assist with activities, provide administrative help and offer friendly companionship, enriching the experience for older adults and strengthening the community.

Eligibility and Support

Who can participate and how programs are funded​

Most Senior Center programs are available at no cost to individuals age 60 and older who reside in Albany County, though donations are always accepted. If you live outside the county or are under age 60, program fees may apply.

LifePath Senior Centers are supported through a mix of public and private funding, including support from government agencies, municipalities, grants, private funders and fundraising efforts.
